Groups

As a new trend in authorization management, direct authorization assignment to user accounts is avoided. In Documenos, privileges are not assigned directly to users. Any authority is assigned only to groups. By grouping users into groups, it is ensured that all group members have the same privileges.

This principle was introduced to simplify authority management and make it more manageable. Otherwise, if a specific authorization could be defined for each user, determining who has a certain authority would require more special attention and would become unmanageable for large enterprises after a while.

We use the short name AGP for this authorization model. (Accounts -> Groups -> Permissions)
