Licence

After downloading Documenos and installing it on your servers, it runs in "Trial" mode. While in trial mode, some functions are restricted and numerical limitations are applied to some operations.

To use Documenos without restrictions and limitations, you must register for a license. The subheadings of this topic explain step by step how to create a license record, how to transfer it, how to recover your license record when you lose it, how to cancel it, etc.

Documenos licenses are "Rental / Subscription" type licenses. License rental is for a minimum of one year. The license is renewed at the end of its term. A license contains four concepts that are subject to licensing:

  1. Number of servers to be installed.
  2. Number of users who will use the software.
  3. Modules to be activated in the software.
  4. Number of companies/institutions to be defined in the software.

The license renewal date is always fixed. License renewal is made on the same day of each year. For licenses that are not renewed, the license holder is given an additional period of time to enable the renewal. At the end of the grace period, licenses that are not renewed are closed and the application switches from "licensed" mode to "trial" mode.

For example, when an additional server or an additional module is included in the license two months before the license renewal date, the annual amount of the additional items included in the license is divided by 365, multiplied by the number of days remaining until the license renewal date (in this case by 60 for two months) and the additional features are added to the license. It is licensed until the renewal date. When the license renewal date comes, all components included in the license are renewed for one year at the new price.
